INTRODUCTION
Arenys de Munt has 22,05 km² and it limits with “St.Vicenç de Montalt, Dosrius, Vallgorguina, St.Iscle de Vallalta, Canet de Mar and Arenys de Mar.” Since Arenys de Munt to Arenys de Mar and the coast there are 4 kilometres and to Barcelona there are 45.
Arenys de Munt founded in 878. The first inhabitants who lived in there, are the Ibers. Its first name was St Martí d’Arenys. In Arenys de Munt lived two famous people. They are Domènec Perramon (a poet) and Josep Maria Gironella (a writer).
The oldest building in Arenys de Munt is the St. Martí’s chuch. Its situation is in the Chuch Square. This square is the main of the town and it’s near the “Riera” (the longest and most important street in Arenys de Munt).

WHERE TO GO
In Arenys de Munt you can visit a lot of things. In the morning, when the sun is rising, you can see the nice views from Collsacreu. You can go for a walk to visit the old cottages in the town, like Casa Nova, Can Rossell, Can Sala de Baix or “Mas Arqué”. These cottages are outside the village.
There is also a castle, called Can Jalpí. A castle that limits with Arenys de Mar. You can ride with a bike around there. It’s fantastic to see the lake.
You can eat in some restaurants. For exemple “Can Genís” restaurant, it is in the Church Square. Near it there is the “Bar de la Plaça”. In the Riera, there are “La Pepa Fornera”, “Cafè Rovira”, “Restaurant Bellsolell”, “El Caliu”, “Can Martori”, “La Galera” and up the “Riera”, there is “El Racó de l’Andreu”. In the Industrial Zone, there are “L’Era” and the “Ziam”.There are also other restaurants and bars.
In the evening it is good to walk along the Riera –the main street in the town- In your way you’ll see diferent kinds of shops; a chemist, a bookshop, a supermarket, a clothes shop, a pet shop, a cake shop... Near the bookshop, there is an exposition hall. In there, there are usually some activities done by the village inhabitants or the other towns around Arenys de Munt. Inside the library there is a museum. You can see the eggs of some birds. In there, there is also a lacemakers’ school, where you can learn and do laces.
There’s square in front of the church, in there, sometimes people dance “sardanes” (the most important dance in Catalonia). There is the church and near it there is the monument of the “Puntaire”. You can have a break eating an excelent cake. You can buy them in “Can Garrell”. You can also eat some candies in “Poti Poti”, a candies’shop, near the monument of the “Puntaire”.
If you want to go out at night. You can go to the “Trenca’t”, “L’Encanteri” and “Music Arenys”.
Out of Arenys de Munt you can ride a bike in some Natural Parks, like “El Corredor”, where you can stay at a “masia” there some nights. You can also walk around the Montnegre’s park.
You can go to the Montseny where you can drink natural water and breath pure air.
You can go to Vallgorguina, to see the dolmen of “Pedra Gentil”.

You can visit Arenys de Mar, where there is a beach. In Arenys de Mar you can sail, windsurf, fish and other activities in the “Club Nàutic”.
You can visit the Sinera cementery where you can see Salvador Espriu’s grave. If you would go to Arenys de Mar, you must take the bus. The ticket costs 1, 15€.
In Arenys de Mar, you can have something to eat and drink in the main street.There is a lot of bars and pubs. At night you can go dancing to Johnny’s and other discos.
There is also a train station near the beach. You can take the train and go to Barcelona (an important city), and to other towns.
Outside the city, there is an amusement zone where you can see a film, have something to eat and drink, play some video games or other games and buy in the biggest supermarket in the town.
